Plywood Paintings are trompe l’oeil recreations of plywood, the simple material that adorns gendered spaces such as garages, man caves, basements, and auto body shops. Their abbreviated phrases, words, names and symbols are reminiscent of 1980s bathroom graffiti. All works are acrylic on canvas.
